Make Yourself Comfortable with this Easy DIY Wooden Studio Sofa

It feels like I spent all of this last winter planning, organising and just getting myself ready for the spring. Back in September I decided I would put a lot of work into my studio and at the same time we were in the middle of a house hunt (I know, this is all I talk about these days! But it’s actually all I’ve done for months now!) As the days have been getting lighter I finally feel like my workload is too. The studio is starting to look something like I imagined it all those months ago. Of course,… Read More

One Room Challenge – The Living Room

Now that we have finally moved everything over to the new house, given back the key’s to our old flat and (hopefully) completed the never-ending paperwork that comes with changing your address, I actually feel like I can start thinking about design and decor. The fun part of home ownership! Of course, I’ve had this in the back of my mind for many years. I seem to be creating more Pinterest boards by the day including some pretty lofty ideas for what we could achieve, but others are more down to earth and practical. And while the dream home might have… Read More

50 Must Do DIYs | March

After the move this month I am so behind on all my blog reading! In fact I am behind on everything but priorities right? I need to know what everyone’s been making/styling/feeling for the last month. So catching up on our 50 Must do DIYs for March today has been a full on job and I am full to the brim (I might be able to squeeze in a few more) of beautiful spaces, DIYs and new babies in the world (I love when bloggers share their new sweet family members). And of course I love this time of year because… Read More

Personal Projects | Our New Home part two

Following on from yesterday’s post we’re heading upstairs for the second part of our new home tour. As with the rest of the house, there’s very little up here that actually needs doing and instead, the next two floors are a blank canvas that we can get incredibly creative with. My biggest bugbear though is the bathroom. It’s a small space and it hasn’t been used well. It’s probably going to be the first renovation project we do and I have a lot of ideas. At the moment it is way too blue! And what’s worse is the tiles are… Read More

Personal Projects | Our New Home

I’ve been taking a short blogging break to move into our new home. I say taking, but it’s been more of a forced hiatus. As much as I planned for a smooth, organised move it quickly deteriorated into throwing things into boxes and thinking about the consequences later… which is now and I can’t find a single thing I own. But that’s all ok because at least it’s in the right house. After saving for a few years and we finally found the perfect house in our price range. The whole process has been long. With all the stress of searching… Read More

DIY Shibori Scarf Crafternoon Tutorial

I finally got around to picking up my copy of this year’s Crafternoon magazine and I have to say it was definitely worth the couple of miles I had to go out of my way to Sainsbury’s for. I say out of my way, but I also picked up a few bits and pieces for the new house, a gorgeous linen shirt and dinner… so it wasn’t like I didn’t make the most of that small additional journey time. And as an extra bonus to my impromptu shopping trip I got to see how my tutorial in a magazine that is… Read More

Hop to it in these DIY Bunny Trainers

Sometimes in this line of work you get a frivolous idea stuck in your head and it just won’t leave. Something you know isn’t going be beneficial to many people (other than my fellow crazy bunny ladies) but you just have to go for it anyway. And while a few of you might be thinking this is the most genius DIY that ever existed the rest of you can look on, slightly confused and asking yourself ‘what on earth is happening here’? And it’s OK! I regularly get readers who don’t like/get/borderline hate (people can have very strong reactions to… Read More

50 Must Do DIYs | February

Is anyone else totally freaking out that it’s March already? I have to say this year has both sped by and been dragging its heels. How is that even possible? Maybe it’s because I’ve been waiting so long to tell you guys about the latest behind the scenes news. And before someone shouts babies – nope, that’s not it. Today we exchanged contracts on our first house! I’m still a little nervous announcing it on the blog. There are so many things that can go wrong during this process it still feels like I’m tempting fate. I don’t think I’ll… Read More
