For the second year running we have nothing to put on top of our tree. Last year the pressure was on to find the perfect topper for our first Christmas tree. Alex grew up with a hammer and sickle on the top of his tree (there is a family story behind this and how it became a yearly tradition) so we were waiting to be hit with the inspiration for our own traditional tree topper. Only problem is it never came and I got board of waiting, so I decided to make something pretty instead. That is my new tradition… and I really like it!

Instructions:
1. Hand make yourself a load of beads. You can see how I make my beads with this tutorial. When they’re dry/hard start threading them onto the wire.
2. Once you’ve finished threading the beads shape the wire into a star. You might have to reshape a couple of times to get each side even.
3. Twist the ends of the wire together and cut off one of the ends. Use the other to wrap around the top of the tree.

When would I paint them if I choose to do so?
