DIY Gemstone Necklaces

Gemstone Necklace on white background

I’ve been experimenting with a lot of wedding DIY’s lately (no agenda. Honest.) and much to the badly hidden bewilderment of the tall one I’ve spent a couple of evenings swanning around my flat sporting glamorous headwear and the whitest, sparkliest clothes the depth of my wardrobe can muster up. Now just so we’re on the same page here I’m not a ‘marriage is everything’ kind of girl. Planning a day long event with all eyes on you – the blushing bride, sounds like an ordeal to me and that’s why I think the thing I think I like most about weddings is the idea of doing something different. There are no hard and fast rules anymore. You don’t have to wear a white gown and swear to obey you husband. You don’t have to get married in a church or have a traditional reception. The world is your oyster pearl and more couples are choosing to create a wedding to represent their personality rather than conform with stale conventions.

This means more people are going DIY in order to get the details perfect (and save a few pennies) and so with that in mind I put together this jewellery DIY for my all time favourite wedding blogger Rock n Roll Bride!

Having something beautiful and meaningful for the bridesmaids is important for a lot of brides. They’re the ones who’ve helped at each step of the way to and down the isle and they deserve a thoughtful gift from the day. These customisable pendants are perfect as a gift to show someone they are special and as a reminder of the day once it’s all over.

Gemstone Necklace Materials

For this tutorial you will need:

Polymer Clay

Stamp Set

Gemstone Mould

Necklace Chains

Jump Rings

Head on over to Rock n Roll Bride to see the rest of the instructions and remember you can customise these pendants to any colour, shape and stamp you like. Let your imagination go wild and be as unique as you want your big day to be!

    Hi!
I just wandering, can you use air dry clay instead of polymer?

      Hi Fadiza!

I think air dry clay would work perfectly. Let me know how you get on! x
