It’s here… I’ve been awaiting tartan for some time now. About a year ago I bought a second hand, ankle length, tartan skirt from a charity shop after a ‘tip off’ from Vogue Magazine with DIY in mind. I’ve been so close to taking it back to said charity shop in the two house moves since then, but it’s a hardy piece of fabric; it has stuck it out and is now coming into its own. The skirt itself is slightly on the larger side and has a solid lining making it both heavy and baggy. Bad combination. So it needs some taking apart and reworking to create something wearable, but this gives me lots of extra fabric to play with and I’ve been working on a few little DIY posts to show you with the cut offs.
In the mean time if you’re wondering how you can wear tartan without looking like something from the Family Ness, keep scrolling!
