Hello! This is a special DIY just for Fall For DIY email subscribers. You guys are pretty awesome so I’m dedicating a whole section of the site for your eyes only. You will have access to a library of exclusive tutorials and each month I’ll send you out a new one to add to that bank. Feeling special? I hope so! As well as a link to the tutorial I’ll send over a few of my favourite posts from the month so you don’t miss out on the stuff we love.
This months tutorial is this DIY looped hair tassel. I kept seeing real hair tassels everywhere and while the idea of buying real hair to make a tassel with creeped me out I tried it out with fake hair and it works just as well! If you follow me on Instagram you might have heard the story about me buying this shade of hair! Confusing total strangers but definitely worth it though! I’ve added a link below to buy the hair online – avoiding all awkward questions about hair colour.
Materials
Fake hair | Scissors | Embroidery Floss
Take a small section of hair and secure in place at one end. About 1″ left of the middle tie on the embroidery floss and wrap for about 2″ or until you can make a horseshoe shape with the wrapped section.
Fold in half and wrap both sides together tightly. Tie off and cut off the extra floss. Trim the tassel to give it a neat edge.
Thank you for letting us into your inbox! Have a great day x
