When the absolutely gorgeous Clemence from Oh The Lovely Things asked me to guest post for her, how on earth could I refuse! Her blog is full to the brim of wonderful recipes, ingenious DIYs and gorgeous style inspiration. Yes! I want to join in with the party please. So I thought about it and I wanted to make something contemporary and wonderful, and also just a little bit understated.
I know you can’t read two lines about jewellery these days without the word ‘statement’ showing its sparkly, shiny, multicoloured head and essentially I have no problem with this. I love statement jewellery. I love it’s experimental nature and how important an accessory can be to creating an outfit, but I miss simple, minimalist pieces that have a subtle, quieter beauty. It’s not that this type of jewellery no longer exists, but is overshadowed by its beaming counterpart.
