You might have noticed that I’ve been branching out into a few more domestic DIYs recently. Don’t worry! My jewellery days are not even close to ending, but I have a flat to decorate, a full time job, a blog to maintain and I’m pretty sure I do not have the same amount of time in the day a Beyoncé. Those motivational quotes are lying to us! So I’ve decided to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.
This is the first time I’ve ever lived somewhere I’ve want to stay for the foreseeable future and the first time I’ve wanted to decorate as an adult (too many student posters spring to mind) so I’ve never really had the chance to develop a personal decor style… or so I thought. Queue Pinterest. As a DIY blogger I thought I would have a mixture of styles and influences all lining up to get a look in on this new creative venture… No, turns out I’m pretty stuck in my ways. I like neutral colours with bold accents, fabric textures, natural finishes and white. A whole load of white. Basically, I like the trends – how susceptible I am – but I’m down with that. When the trends change I’ll move on as well. That’s the beauty of DIY. Furniture makes for the fickle – that’s what you’ll get here. If that floats your boat then use the links below to follow Fall For DIY to keep up with the latest.
